Welcoming Cohort 6: Our Board‑Ready Journey Continues

We were delighted to welcome OnBoard’s 6th Cohort who joined our first in‑person session 🎉

It was a fantastic way to kick off their OnBoard journey and to connect face to face as a growing community. We had a great session, with participants actively asking questions, sharing knowledge and experiences while gaining a clearer understanding of what to expect from the programme in the months ahead.

As always, we’d like to say a huge thank you to Saxton Bampfylde for generously hosting us and providing delicious food and refreshments which kept us nourished and very engaged! The OnBoard Team and cohort 6 are truly grateful for your support 🫶🏾

We’re also pleased to welcome Rafaela Amusu, one of OnBoard’s newest coordinators. Rafaela brings both professional and practical board experience to the role. She is excited to use this experience to support the OnBoard team in facilitating high‑quality learning opportunities, helping participants build confidence and capability as they become truly board ready🙌🏽

And finally, the feedback from our first session has been incredibly encouraging. One participant shared:

“The most helpful thing I’ve learned in this workshop is the different board responsibilities and expectations of board members because it’s helped me know more about what I’d be signing up for and helped me to think more carefully about only making the commitment to a board I really care about.”

We’re off to a strong start and we’re looking forward to supporting each participant as they progress through the programme in the months ahead and see what this unstoppable group will achieve!
